Drop Chair

This collection explores the balance between expressive form and everyday practicality, taking shape in an organic dining table and chair.

The Drop Chair reflects this same approach. Flowing lines guide the design, resolving in a subtle drop shape, giving the piece its name. Visible Sam Maloof joints remain intentionally exposed to celebrate traditional craftsmanship. Designed with comfort in mind, the sculpted seat and backrest support good posture for everyday use.

In 2026, the collection will be expanded with an organic bench, a lounge chair, and a side table in the same design language.

Materials

The Drop Chair is made entirely from American Black Walnut, chosen for its strength and timeless appearance.

Using only hardwood ensures a chair that is built to last while remaining surprisingly lightweight, making it both sturdy and easy to move. The surface is treated with Rubio Monocoat, enhancing the natural beauty of the wood while keeping it easy to maintain.
